Kudos

● AWA Signature Member Rachelle Siegrist and her husband, Wes, were recently commissioned by the Woolaroc Museum in Bartlesville, OK to paint portrait miniatures of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Hussein Obama.  The Woolaroc, one of the Nation’s premiere western art museums, is one of a handful of museums nationwide with portrait miniature collections of U.S. Presidents. Museum collections of miniature paintings are primarily comprised of portraiture dating from the 1500s through the early 1900s.  The Siegrists’ Presidential portrait miniatures in the Woolaroc place them in the coveted class of living artists with work in the permanent collection of a museum.

● Master Signature Member Nancy Boren has her work included in  The 2012 Fine Art in Dallas, a 128-page engagement book with 100 color plates of original art of 72 artists from the Greater Dallas area.  Available at www.cityartcal.com.

Kudos to AWA Board Member Kathrine Lemke Waste who is featured in "A Closer Look," an in-depth review of her work in the January, 2012 issue of Southwest Art Magazine.

●  Artists Romona Youngquist of Portland, Oregon, South Carolina painter Paula Holtzclaw and Claudia Seymour of New Canaan, Connecticut are the newest Signature Members of AWA.  Paula was recently featured in Southwest Art Magazine, and shows her work in numerous galleries along the Eastern Seaboard and in California.  Romona, featured in Southwest Art, American Art Collector and Art Talk, is represented by galleries in the Pacific Northwest, California and Scottsdale.  Claudia is President of the Salmagundi Club, New York and an honored Master Pastellist, represented by galleries in the United States and London.
