Members

AWA offers opportunities, camaraderie and support for women artists. Membership is offered on several levels - from entry level Associates to accomplished Masters of the visual fine arts.

Associate Artist Members
Associate Artist Memberships are $60 per year and are open to women artists who are 18 years of age or older living and working in the United States, Canada or Mexico. Women who draw, paint, or sculpt in a representational style are welcome and encouraged to apply for membership.

Associate Artists...
 ● will receive 6 issues of Masterstrokes, the AWA e-newsletter
 ● are eligible to submit their work to the Annual Juried Competition  
 ● are eligible for a free listing in the member directory on the AWA website


 
Signature Members
Associate Artists may apply for Signature Membership once they have been juried into three AWA National Juried Competition Shows. Applicants for signature status should be established in their careers with experience exhibiting on a national level. Applicants should submit a digital portfolio for review by Master Signature Members during the application period which is held throughout the month of April each year. Signature Members...
●  enjoy the benefits listed above, and are encouraged and expected to include their work in the annual Member show, held in conjunction with the Annual Juried Competition
●  are eligible to use the initials AWA after their signature  
●  are eligible to include one piece in AWA museum shows
●  may list their workshops & gallery shows on the Events page on the AWA website
●  will be featured on a rotational basis in the newsletter and on the AWA Facebook page, along with other marketing efforts coordinated by AWA
 
Master Signature Members
Master Signature Membership is by invitation only. The exemplary work of a Master Signature Member can be seen in museum exhibitions, nationally recognized galleries, publications and collections across the country. Women under consideration for Master Signature membership may be invited to show with AWA at the Annual Members Show as guest artists, if they are not already Signature Members. Master Signature Members receive all of the benefits enjoyed by the Signature Members and they are given the opportunity to show additional pieces of their work in the Annual Member and Museum shows.

Patrons
American Women Artists is a nonprofit organization and deeply grateful for the support of those who love and appreciate fine art. Patron level support is open to all who wish to make a contribution to support our mission to inspire, celebrate and encourage women in the visual fine arts.
